Makeup Haul from India 2016

Makeup Haul from India 2016

I went to India for my summer vacation, as it is burning hot in Dubai in the summer and I wanted to be cool for the summer (anyone got the reference?). And, as usual, I bought a LOT of makeup (and some skincare). And today I’m going to be sharing with you all of the products I bought from India.

Let’s start off with all of the skin care products I got:

Garnier BB Cream: This BB Cream claims that it is suitable for all skin types and it is specially designed for Indian Skin Tone. I have combo skin, and this didn’t feel oily or drying on my skin at all. I also gives a healthy glow to my skin. This BB Cream doesn’t give any coverage, but it’s a great base before you start applying your makeup. It retails at 109 Indian Rupees, which is only about $2! Isn’t that awesome?

Jovees Gold Ultra Radiance Moisturiser: I have a love-hate relationship with this product. This feels very oily on my face, but when I apply makeup on top of it, it applies fairly. This is sold for 295 Indian Rupees, which is about $4.

That’s it for skincare, let’s move on to makeup!

Miss Claire Blusher in 01: I’ve already reviewed this product. I have to say this: I love this! It’s so pigmented and it has micro-shimmers in it, but when you apply it to the face, it’s almost matte. I didn’t rave about this product this much when I reviewed it, because I had only started using it then. This is also so affordable. I think I paid about 300 Indian Rupees, which is about $5 and this is absolutely amazing! If you visit India, then don’t forget to pick this up!

Miss Rose Loose Powder and Eyeshadow: Again, I have a love-hate relationship with this product. I don’t come across many loose eyeshadows, so when I saw this I instantly got my hands on it. I put this on as eyeshadow, without any eye primer or base, and the colour was very intense. But at the end of the day, the product had gone of the eye, with only a fraction of it left. I’ll try it with an eyeshadow primer and see if it’s any better with it. It retails at 295 Indian Rupees, which is about $4.

Maybelline White Superfresh with Pure Perlite Powder in Coral: This is the second time I’m saying this in this post: I love this product! It helps my face to stay matte for a long time, but what appeals the most to me about this powder is the fact that it’s brightening under the eye. I’ll put some concealer on and then set it with this powder and it brightens my under eye area! Absolutely recommend it!

Miss Claire Eye Shadow in 0615: Yet another product from Miss Claire. It is not as riveting as the Blusher, though. This one fades after some time. But the colour is really pretty, so I’m going to try it on with some eye base on.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation: I love this product! It’s really good! I glides on my skin smoothly and it’s so easy to blend. It stays matte on my face! I totally recommend this!

Maybelline The Nudes Eyeshadow Palette: I can’t say much about this product right now because I haven’t used it a lot yet. But I did try putting it on, but I put it on above a concealer-powder duo, so I can’t tell it’s wearing time. But by the colours I’ve tried, I think they’re awesome!

Maybelline Lip Gradation by Colorsensational in Mauve 1: This lip product has the lip colour on one end and a cushion smudger on the other end. You can apply the colour to the centre of your lips and smudge it out with the cushion smudger. The colour is so beautiful, and I absolutely recommend this.

Maybelline Colorsensational Lip Liner in Velvet Beige: I haven’t used this lip liner on my lips yet, but what I can say about this lip liner is that it’s really creamy and pigmented. I’ll review it after I try it on my lips.

Maybelline Super Stay 14 Hour Lipstick in Always Plum: One of the best matte lipsticks I’ve tried! Can’t say anymore, buy it! It’s awesome!

Shingar Kajal Stick: I got this Kajal Stick from a grocery store, so I thought it wouldn’t work that well. But can I just say, this is easily one of the blackest and most pigmented Kohls I’ve tried! I don’t think this cost even a dollar. It’s absolutely awesome!

Makeup Tools:

Beauty Sponge: I don’t know which brand this is from, because I lost the package this had come in. I personally don’t like this sponge that much because it is very firm and rigid, thus making it hard to blend in your concealer. I use it for baking.

Divo Angled Eye Brush: An awesome angled brush. You can also use this to do your brows.

This is the list of things I got from India. Comment below and tell me what are the other Indian products that you want me to review!

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
