Concealers are a staple item in any makeup junkie’s collection. I have used multiple drugstore concealers, but I will say that none of the have impressed me as much as the Wet n Wild PhotoFocus Concealer has. In this post, I will list down some of the reasons why I love it.
Packaging
The concealer comes in a basic clear tube with a black cap and a dofus applicator at the end of the wand. This is good since that enables a good amount of product to be applied at once without having to stir it inside the container.
Shade Range
Currently, there are 14 shades of the Wet n Wild concealer listed on their website. The one I have brought is in the shade Medium Tawny, which is a medium shade with neutral undertones.
Performance
The Wet N Wild Photofocus concealer is great in terms of coverage. It falls in the medium coverage category, but it is very easy to build it up. Make sure to set it well with a setting powder though, otherwise it will just crease. I prefer using a loose powder with it.
The texture is creamy and is easy to blend. I usually blend it with a BeautyBlender, damp of course, and works fine. Sometimes, I also use my fingers to blend it. I prefer the BeautyBlender though, since it spreads the product evenly without leaving any streaks.
One thing I would like to point out is that if you have very dark dark circles, like me, then please keep in mind it would show if you try to build up coverage. This isn’t a deal breaker, because you can easily just fix it by applying some color corrector before applying the concealer.
Price
Wet n Wild is one of the most affordable brands out there. This concealer was priced at about AED 30! Even better, some of the stores even offer discounts sometimes, so you can watch out for that!
Final Verdict
Overall, the Wet n Wild concealer is a gem at the drugstore. It is definitely worth all the praise. At the price it’s sold at, plus the coverage and lasting power, it is impressive. However, it does crease if not set properly, so keep that in mind. Other than that, if you are looking for a concealer that is easy to work with and gives you good coverage than this is it!
